jennifer's Journal well, this summer has been full of suffering, dying and change. my dad has changed jobs (for better and for worse), leaving my mother to the dog-eat-dog administration of huntingdon who do not favor her in the least. knowing that she has tenure is comforting, but this school can easily weasel their way around that. then, one week ago my grandmother passed away. now, i have a cat (andrew jaunty) dying of feline AIDS and leukemia just withering away. these diseases are easily passed between cats my other one (alice anne) may very well have the same diseases. im still waiting to find out. god, i could lose three cats within less than a year. i think im going to turn this livejournal into annoying postings of everything my cats do. Current mood: Current music: none. Da Vinci Code: The Video Game...hahaha..Has this world lost it's mind. Current music: Neko Case. Well, I lost a member of the family tonight. She was a dainty, four-legged calico with reoccuring symptoms of postpardum syndrome. I can't believe people have the gall to speed through a neighborhood, hit a cat and take off (who knows if the accident was even noticed). My sister and Ryan found her on the side of the road and brought her back to the house. The burial will take place mid-afternoon tomorrow. Even though I complained about her bipolar mood swings and her inability to cope with her children, at least she was real. Tonight was definitely a good night to stay in. R.I.P. Ellie "Satan" (in the early stages of motherhood, but the demonic edge was still there) Current mood: Current music: Brian Jonestown Massacre-hyperventilation. Come March 3rd and 4th my roommate and I will be in the same room with John Waters and his work. I can now say I've never been this excited to go back to Alabama. Although, I am disappointed about missing my first STUNT, but this man is a priority. Current music: kenna. I went to the doctor yesterday and I have been doing the Mononucleosis dance for about 6 days now, apparently. It doesn't feel like the drowsy and disassociated feeling of mono. I don't even feel like I'm swallowing hot coals anymore. Well, hopefully I'll be back in Georgia by Friday-Who knows? I'm just waiting for facial hair from these steroids. Tegan and Sara...damn they are hot....i mean soulful
Sara the Prophet: One Wesleyanne shall not embrace another Wesleyanne Leane and Jaz: To have or not to have *sigh*
ICE CREAM SOCIALISTS!!!
Tuesday night I dragged myself to the Capri to see Capote. This took me back to my 10th grade obcession with In Cold Blood. Man, what a remarkablly disturbing movie, but, nevertheless, it was well worth the money. It proved the point that he was no more than a self-indulgent socio-path. However, one fact that the movie did bring to my attention was the connection between him and Harper Lee. His pseudonym in To Kill a Mocking Bird was Dill. The director cast the perfect actress to fill Harper Lee's shoes in the film. I would recommend this film to Capote fans, film buffs, or anyone looking for a good movie.

My ears are ready to be lowered. Current mood: Current music: Futureheads- Hounds of Love. |
